New BP pills

Just before Xmas I was told my blood pressure was too high and I had to monitor it for a month then return to the doctor.  Well, after just a week monitoring it, it was obvious to me that the high readings weren't just "white coat syndrome", but it was up overall.
On Monday I visited the doctor and he changed my BP pills.  AT first I thought they weren't working but today I woke up feeling very faint, with a sore throat.  So, I'm not at work.  I've taken my BP and it seems to be on it's way down. So perhaps they just needed to stabilise my BP, before they could start bringing it down.  I have felt dreadful since the tablets were changed, and did this morning, still feel faint now, but it is dropping.  Hurrah!
