I am beginning to wonder if I will ever get to hydrotherapy.
I was referred by the podiatrist before Xmas, there is a waiting list, so I had to wait.
The first one I had to cancel because I had a streaming cold, and it had affected my asthma. (The letter they send with your appointment states not to attend if you have any of four conditions.)
Roll forwards to mid March, I got a chest infection, so had to cancel again, as that is one of the "no,no's......so, it was rearranged for today.
So....here I am costume, towel, shampoo at the ready.....the phone rings.....it's the booking service...the physiotherapist who takes the session is ill, so today is cancelled.
As the sessions are held in the pool at the local special needs school, there's none for the next two weeks, due to the school being closed over the Easter holiday.
I wonder........will hydrotherapy ever happen.......meanwhile....I'm off for a soak in the bath. 😂

Erm!
I have to go to the doctor's in the morning. My sick note runs out on Thursday. I know I'm not ready to return to work just yet, due to the problems the insoles are causing me. I know I can't yet stand all day, as my job usually requires me to do. If I had a more sedentary department to work for, I might be able to return, but not yet. I just hope the doctor agrees, as the physiotherapist told me not to walk so much until I've seen him again, and we have looked at other solutions.

Back to swimming
Well, have got myself back swimming now, but only doing 16 lengths, and pausing every second length, but at least I am progressing.
The physio said I could try cycling now, if I wanted to. So will probably try that tomorrow morning. I think a ride along the prom would be the best idea, for first ride.
I am not too happy with the insoles though, as they are making my toes go numb, and my feet go tingly, plus the only thing I can get my feet into with them in is a pair of black leather trainers. I'm going to have to speak to a doctor about it, as the physio didn't think it was such a problem, as he thinks I won't need them for so long, whilst the consultant thought I would need them for quite a while. I think he will have more idea of my long term needs.
