Woke up yesterday, had slept through one alarm. I felt like I couldn't breathe, so had to use my relief inhaler almost straight away, even though I had just used my preventive inhaler. Added to that I had a badly trapped nerve.
I was extremely busy on Monday, and probably did more than I could cope with...unfortunately my body reacts by giving me a bad day the day after.
By early evening I still felt no better.
I ask myself, should I push myself so hard if this is the reaction I get? It's not so bad when I have a working pain relief injection, but I am currently waiting for my next injection.
I hate feeling like this. I am just about feeling ok, but it knocks the stuffing out of me.
And I really don't need this, with what's going on at work.

First post of 2015
Before Xmas I had something similar to flu, which left me with a chest infection. I was given antibiotics for that, but ever since I have had a feeling of nausea almost every day. Plus I keep coughing, which isn't good with my asthma.
It almost feels like I have mucus settled in my stomach, as 9 times out of 10, I am being sick after eating.
Tuesday night/ Wednesday morning I hardly slept for coughing, then I slept through until 3pm. Then when I got up, brought up whatever I tried to eat. This morning I am still being sick, perhaps it is a touch of gastric flu, but that doesn't explain the nausea since early December.
I've got a doctor's appointment later, perhaps some light might be shed on things.

Body spray?
When I was little I used to watch Mum and Dad putting the finishing touches before they went out. Make up, the bare minimum in Mum's case and just a splash of aftershave for Dad.
What I do remember is that they used "just a splash" as too much can be overwhelming. Also, I was told if you are eating out you should keep perfume, (aftershave in the man's case,) to a bare minimum so as not to spoil the food.
Why am I musing about this?
Because it now seems to be the norm to douse yourself in it, or the body sprays. I think some of the young people today use it in place of having a good wash.
I hate it when they do this at school, as it is very cloying and makes me have to use my inhaler. The worst of it is when they blithely spray in the food room, disregarding the fact you shouldn't spray near foods and the fact both myself and the teacher have asthma. (We have even dismissed certain cleaning products as they make us both cough and wheeze.)
Body spray, perfume and aftershave are meant to help attract the opposite sex, not repel. And I am well aware that some people douse themselves in order to disguise the smell of cigarette smoke. I've got a better idea, don't smoke!
And the other point is, if you have a good quality aroma, you only need too use a little as it stays around for longer. In fact I have a perfume that I can still smell the day after, and after I have washed.

Eventful week, but would rather not discuss
This past week has been a little hectic, to be truthful, but am sorry I am not going to blog about most of it.
I did enjoy the cruise on the canal again, and the response from our invited guest when we presented her with a token of our esteem was lovely.
I wish her and her husband well in their new home, which is in a new country, to them...but they have relatives there.
The token I had picked was well received, and am happy to say I got it right.
Am now off work because of my medication. The harassment I am getting for being ill, when most of the time it is adverse effects of medication is becoming unbearable. I should be OK to return to work on Wednesday, and I can say..hand on heart..at least this has not knocked my asthma out, which is a blessing.

Brown and green make purple?
Why the title?
Cos yesterday I went to see the asthma nurse, and she gave me another inhaler.....BUT....I no longer have to use two of my others. The new one is purple, and replaces the brown and green ones. If I like it, and get used to it, it means I will only have two inhalers to use in place of three. Which is good, as it also gives what takes me four breaths to take in just one.
BUT...have never tried mixing green with brown, apparently it does make purple when you mix the colours in art.
